• 1999-2005: Ph.D., Babeş-Bolyai University, Faculty of Biology and Geology, (Cluj-Napoca, Romania), Department of Zoology (later on Department of Taxonomy and Ecology) (Cluj-Napoca, Romania). The Ph.D.-thesis was defended in December 2005 Cum laude. The title of the thesis: A Study of the Spiders (Arachnida: Araneae) in the Upper Basin of the Olt River. Scientific supervisor: Prof. Dr. Nicolae Tomescu.
